Ginny’s dad had great advice about facing devils head on.
‘Think about the worst thing that could happen and figure out why you’re afraid. Get past that and the rest is easy.’
There was no doubt about her worst fear. Alone in a house with six men, all of whom had just ogled her naked body, it was a complete no-brainer.

When Ginny’s Saturday night bath is interrupted, and her uncle’s house is invaded by the supposed victims of a car crash, the outcome might appear predictable. But nothing is as expected, including the uncle she thought she knew. Ginny endures their attentions as each one is distracted from their covert task, but she seems to have fallen for the rottenest apple in this particular barrel.

With a spicing of international intrigue, blackmail and a bent ex-soldier, Ginny needs every ounce of wit and courage to survive the long weekend of simmering tensions.

This romantic suspenseful military thriller will appeal to readers who like edgy heroes, ruthless
villains and feisty heroines in constant danger.

Fox Among Wolves Hostage Series Book 1 edition by Rowanna Green Romance eBooks

This was an exceptional story in my opinion. It started off with a bang and then continued building the tension throughout. At times it felt confusing since it was hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys but to me, that only enhanced it because it kept the excitement going. I wanted to keep reading to figure things out and Rowanna kept the pace moving so well it never became dull. It was a little difficult to get household chores done because I could barely stand not knowing what was coming next. It moves fast with a lot of characters which some may find overwhelming but I never lost track of who was who or became confused because Rowenna did a great job of making each person unique enough to follow them. But for the type of book it is, I personally love the intrigue and think she handled it with excellent skill.

I am not often impressed with thrillers because most the time I find them so implausible they become annoying. Everything about Fox Among Wolves seemed believable and possible, which only added to my satisfaction. The characters were believable and their reactions realistic. I loved that it included a couple of intelligent women rather than some helpless bimbo waiting for the man to rescue her. And the uncertain emotions between the two main characters was a refreshing addition since it seemed more like two strangers might react to such a situation. If a person wants a book that's gripping, I highly recommend Fox Among Wolves, I don't think you would be disappointed.

Fox Among Wolves Hostage Series Book 1 edition by Rowanna Green Romance eBooks Reviews

This book really kept me on my toes, with its nearly constant change in players and the whole gamut of terms I'm not familiar with as an American. Charming, yes; but not generally easy to read over the span of 200-and-some pages. It took a bit of extra brainpower, but I persevered.

This is the story of Ginny, a whip-smart co-ed who lives in a country estate with her uncle's family. Ginny's evening bath is interrupted by two handsome buddies who have been in a car wreck and need a place to stay until they can secure some medical attention. Pretty soon the twosome becomes a... I can't honestly say how many people ended up hanging out at Ginny's because many of the characters just didn't stick with me. I couldn't keep the lesser characters straight, and I found it difficult to know who was good and who was bad and all of the shades in between. Still, I was rooting for Ginny to get her man (won't spoil it) by the end. Plenty of intrigue and action to keep the pace moving, but I'll admit to being a romance fan, so I felt more drawn to that component than whatever it was these guys were searching for/protecting.

There was a little bit of sex (I came across this book via a group of predominantly clean reads, so that took me off guard a little bit; I wasn't personally offended, as I read books in a variety of genres with a lot of different rating levels, but thought it worth mentioning for others expecting something chaste), and a little bit of swearing. The book itself seemed to be fairly well edited with grammar and punctuation consistent with UK style.
I just love Ms. Green's writing. Her characters live with me long after I've read the last page. They are so real, and written with glorious British humour. Although I've loved all of Ms. Green's books (seriously, I highly recommend them all!) I think I might like Fox Among Wolves the best. I love a good mystery, and this one kept me guessing the whole way through. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out who the good guy and bad guy are in the tale, but this one left me guessing right until the very end.

I saw someone else mention that this is Ms. Green's first book. If that's true, I'm in awe! What a great read. Highly recommended!!!
Rowanna Green has done it again! I'm absolutely in love with all of her stories, and now 'Fox Among Wolves' has joined its place with her other fantastic novels.

I love the characters that Ms. Green creates. I always find myself wanting to be best friends with her female characters and honestly, I fall in love with all of her male characters. Her newest cast is no exception. I've heard rumors of a sequel and I hope it is true, because I would love to pick back up with these characters. Especially if my favorite character gets more time with the mike.

Fox is a great read and a fun ride. 'Death Wishes' is still my absolute favorite of Ms. Green's work, but I see reflections of Jo's attitude in the clever Ginny. Here we find a young protagonist dealing with a rather overwhelming situation, but doing it with humor and grace. There may be a great supporting cast of male characters, but Ginny is a very smart woman and not tricked by the situation going on around her. She will accept some help from the guys around her, but she isn't some fainting heroine who can't handle herself.

A great read and fantastic plot. It deserves it spot on my shelf with the other fabulous works of Ms. Green.
Pros I finished it. It was readable. The characters were diverse and interesting.
Cons at several points, it devolved into basically smut, just in case anyone else minds that. The prologue *spoilers* turned out to be a dream, which I thought was super lame!! Total bait and switch. Too many changing names to keep track of. Way too many British idioms, for readers who aren't British to understand what's happening. Frequently didn't identify who was talking our being talked about, which was very confusing
When I started reading this story, I thought there was no way a woman would let these strange men into her house... but then I thought back on every time I went against my instincts. Every time, my heart raced. I sensed I got lucky that nothing terrible happened to me. And so, it wasn't quite so ridiculous.

Unraveling this mystery was fun and exciting. I haven't read many thrillers, so for awhile I felt lost. But unlike most stories, it was in an exiting way! I'd recommend this to anyone who likes mysteries or thrillers.
